As a health educator, certified nutrition coach and all around “real food” advocate, I get asked a lot about supplements.
So, I’m going to tell you all about the whole food product line that my family uses every day.
To cut to the chase, I believe that whole food is best.
Our bodies are designed to absorb nutrients from food and I don’t believe a quick fix or bandaid is enough to cover your bases like real food does.
So, multivitamins just never made sense to me.
Also, the fact that my brother was rushed to the ER after consuming too many Flintstones vitamins may have contributed to that sentiment.
There is just a better way!
Imagine if you could put all the amazing nutrient diversity, enzyme activity, and synergy from a rainbow of different colors (i.e. fruits and vegetables) into an easy to consume manner.
And I don’t mean juicing.
Although it has its benefits, it’s messy, expensive and time-consuming. Not exactly an easy button.
I’m talking about something stupid easy. Like a capsule. Or a chewable.
Wouldn’t that be nice?
